DETAILS OF SYMPOSIUM: Lectures will be 30 minutes in duration, followed by discussion periods. The "Discussion" sessions are informal sessions in which participants may directly interact with the faculty. This provides an opportunity for the practicing clinician to discuss in detail their own unique problems, clinical experiences, unusual cases, and/or to cover topics that are not included in the formal program.
ACCREDITATION: The University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians. The University of Miami Professional Development and Training Office (PDTO) is an approved provider of the education in nursing by the Florida Board of Nursing.
CREDIT DESIGNATION: The
University of Miami Leonard M. Miller School of Medicine designates this
educational activity for a maximum of 24.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits
TM (6.75 credits in workshop, 17.5
credits in conference). Physicians should only claim credit commensurate
with the extent of their participation in this activity (The CMEs awarded may
change this year). Nurses will be provided with 15.0 continuing education units
(CEU) for the conference. However, they are required to request credits from
there own (State Licensing Board) for the workshop.
DISCLOSURE AND CONFLICT OF INTEREST RESOLUTION:
All
conflicts of interest of any individual(s) in a position to control the content
of this CME activity will be identified and resolved prior to this educational
activity being provided. Disclosure about provider and faculty relationships,
or the lack thereof, will be provided to learners.
REGISTRATION: The registration fee for this

Physicians: Received before October 1, 2009 - $600.00 USD After October 1, 2009 - $650.00
Nurses, Students, Residents, Therapists : Received before October 1, 2009 - $450 USD After October 1, 2009 - $500.00
On Site $750 USD for all (Space availability basis only)
Workshop: $175.00 in addition to the conference registration fee. Workshop attendance is limited to 150 registrants.
Payment Methods: Check made payable to (funds must be in U.S. dollars): Division of Neonatology - University of Miami Miller School of Medicine or you may use a credit card (Master Card or VISA only). Written notice of cancellation for this symposium must be received no later than October 25, 2009 to qualify for a refund. A $100.00 fee will be charged on all refunds.
